Excuse for dropping a semester

The student may withdraw from the semester without being considered as Fail if he/ she provide an acceptable excuse at least five weeks prior to the beginning of the final exams. The students of the colleges that adopt the yearly system may withdraw before at least eight weeks from the beginning of the final exams. The students of the short courses may withdraw before the beginning of the examinations, equivalent to one third of the duration of the course. All these cases apply via the e-portal. The grade (W) shall be given to the student. This semester will be computed as part of the time required to complete the requirements of graduation.

Withdrawal shall not exceed two consecutive or three non-consecutive semesters. As for the students of the colleges that adopt the yearly system, they may not withdraw for two consecutive years. Years of withdrawal should not exceed two non-consecutive academic years throughout the study in the university, after that period, the student's enrollment is cancelled. University Rector can make exceptions.
