His Royal Highness Prince Jloui bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Governor of Najran Region, patronized the graduation ceremony of the nineteenth cohort of Najran University's male and female students for the academic year 1447 AH, comprising 5,872 graduates, held at the University's Conferences and Events Center.
The ceremony began with the Royal Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur'an. The President of Najran University, Professor Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Khudairi, then delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the patronage of His Highness the Governor reflects his continued commitment to supporting the educational journey in the region, and his keenness to empower the nation's sons and daughters with the tools of knowledge and learning.
Al-Khudairi explained that celebrating the graduation of the nineteenth cohort reaffirms the University's ongoing pursuit of its academic and national mission, and its contribution to preparing a conscious and qualified generation capable of keeping pace with the requirements of development and participating effectively in building the nation's future. He noted that the University has ensured its graduates receive comprehensive preparation that combines academic and skills-based qualification, and instills in them the values of belonging and responsibility, enabling them to serve their faith, their King, and their nation.
For his part, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Aboud Asiri, stated that the number of graduates reached 5,872 students, including 276 master's degree holders, 3,402 bachelor's degree holders, and 2,186 diploma holders. He added that 224 students graduated with First-Class Honors, while 384 graduated with Second-Class Honors.
He indicated that this year's graduates represent the nineteenth cohort, distributed across 73 academic programs at the diploma, bachelor's, and master's levels, emphasizing that the University — represented by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration and under the directives of its President — has mobilized all its capabilities to serve students, overcome challenges, keep pace with modern technologies, and develop academic services.
Following that, student Mohammed Nasser Al Mutlaq delivered the graduates' speech, in which he expressed the graduates' gratitude to His Highness the Governor for patronizing the ceremony, and their appreciation to the University for the education and training it provided throughout their years of study.
The graduates then marched in a procession before the ceremony's patron, followed by the recitation of the oath, pledging to devote their efforts to serving their faith, their King, and their nation.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the University President presented a commemorative shield to His Highness the Governor. The official sponsor of the ceremony was also honored, and group photographs were taken with outstanding students and graduates alongside the ceremony's patron.
