1 practical

Course Objectives
This course is designed to enable you to acquire knowledge about hemoglobin synthesis and red blood cell formation erythropoiesis.
You gain detailed knowledge and skills to identify different red blood cell disorders and anemia.
You learn how to use laboratory diagnostic tools and methods to reach an accurate diagnosis of hemoglobin and red blood cell disorders.
This is achieved through studying the pathophysiological mechanisms of blood and bone marrow diseases and understanding the physiological and cellular changes that occur in the bone marrow and hematopoietic tissues.

Course Content Summary
The course starts with the normal physiology of red blood cell production and the factors controlling it.
You study the different components of blood and hemoglobin and their main functions.
The course then covers the basic knowledge of red blood cell disorders and hemoglobinopathies.
This includes pathophysiology, clinical features, and laboratory diagnosis of most common disorders.

Course Objectives
This course aims to provide you with knowledge related to white blood cell formation, the factors controlling this process, and the organs responsible for leukopoiesis.
You gain knowledge about common benign and malignant white blood cell disorders, their pathological mechanisms, and laboratory diagnostic methods.

Course Content Summary
The course is designed to cover all aspects of white blood cell disorders.
It begins with normal physiology and factors regulating white blood cell production.
You then study the different types of leukocytes and their normal functions.
The course covers qualitative and quantitative disorders of white blood cells, including pathophysiology, morphological changes, genetic alterations, and laboratory diagnosis.
A major part of the course focuses on malignant white blood cell disorders including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and myelodysplastic syndromes, with emphasis on clinical features, pathophysiology, genetic alterations, and laboratory diagnostic tests.

Course Objectives
This course is designed to enable you to interpret laboratory diagnostic test results and make appropriate decisions to reach an accurate diagnosis based on clinical presentation and laboratory findings.
You acquire knowledge and skills related to disorders of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, as well as blood bank practices.

Course Content Summary
The course covers all major topics related to hematological diseases, including red blood cell disorders, white blood cell disorders, platelet disorders, coagulation disorders, and blood banking.
All topics are linked to real clinical cases to help you connect clinical features with diagnostic techniques and reach a definitive diagnosis.
You also practice performing diagnostic tests in hematology laboratories.
