To become a leading regional and international platform for publishing high-quality,
peer-reviewed research in Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Computing, aligned with
Saudi Vision 2030 and global scientific advancement.
The vision of the Najran University Journal of AI & Emerging Computing (NUJAIEC) is to
position itself as a distinguished regional and international forum for scholarly
communication in the domains of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Computing. The
journal aspires not only to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research but also to establish
itself as a reference point for innovation, academic rigor, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
This vision is rooted in three key dimensions:
1. Regional Leadership: Within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the broader Gulf
region, there is an urgent need for specialized publishing platforms that reflect the
rapid growth of AI and digital technologies. By providing an authoritative venue for
local and regional scholars, NUJAIEC will strengthen the Kingdom’s research
ecosystem, highlight indigenous innovations, and ensure that scientific contributions
from Saudi Arabia are visible and impactful on the global stage.
2. International Recognition: NUJAIEC seeks to align its editorial standards, peer
review processes, and ethical policies with the best practices of globally indexed
journals. Through collaboration with leading academics and practitioners worldwide,
the journal aims to attract contributions of international caliber, thereby building a
reputation that facilitates inclusion in major databases such as Scopus and Web of
Science. The ultimate goal is to create a sustainable platform that influences global
research agendas in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Human–Computer3. Alignment with National Priorities and Global Advancement: The journal’s scope
directly supports Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in its emphasis on digital
transformation, smart infrastructure, and the development of a knowledge-based
economy. By publishing research in fields such as machine learning, intelligent
systems, edge and cloud computing, cybersecurity, extended reality, and humancentered
AI, NUJAIEC will provide evidence-based insights that inform both national
