On the occasion of World AIDS Day, the President of Najran University launched the "HIV Awareness Initiative" exhibition under the slogan "Healthy Step," held at the Prince Jalawi Bin Abdulaziz Conference Center. This initiative was a collaboration between the health colleges, the university hospital, the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the Community Responsibility Administration at the university.

The College of Applied Medical Sciences participated with an awareness and informational booth about HIV, including key transmission factors and the latest studies in the field.

The event also featured a scientific seminar, where Dr. Ahmed Al-Shahri and Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Shahri spoke about prevention, early and accurate diagnosis of the virus. They discussed the causes of the disease, its risks, methods of prevention, as well as the daily death statistics resulting from HIV, medical advancements, and global infection rates.

The Dean of the College, Dr. Adel Al-Shahrani, also delivered a speech about the event in which the College of Applied Medical Sciences participated.
