A training course was held as part of the Graduate

Skills Enhancement Initiative under the

title “Professional Certifications in English and

Translation” on Thursday at 10:00 PM.

Dr. Anisa explained what professional

certifications are, their benefits, and how to obtain them.

She talked about the types of local and international

certifications in English, including the STEP proficiency

test and professional   license exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, PTE

(Pearson), TOEIC, and Cambridge exams.

She also discussed international professional certifications

in translation, including ATA, COIL, and ITI.

She concluded the course by encouraging

participants to persist in advancing and obtaining

professional certifications in English and translation.

She emphasized that making mistakes, gaining

experience, taking risks, being patient, maintaining

a positive mindset, and planning are the keys to

success—because difficult does not mean impossible.
