It is my honor and pleasure to welcome you to Najran University,an academic institution that continues to fulfill its mission of supporting higher education, advancing scientific research, and serving the community, thereby contributing to sustainable development and investment in knowledge, in alignment with the objectives of national development and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
The organization of the Health Professions Education Forum 2026 affirms the University’s commitment to advancing the health education system, enhancing the quality of its outcomes, and keeping pace with global developments in health professions education through innovation, establishment of high-quality scientific partnerships, and integration with relevant sectors.
This forum embodies a leading model of constructive institutional collaboration between Najran University and the Saudi Society for Medical Education. The Society, as a national scientific reference body, plays an active role in supporting scientific research, developing educational practices, and disseminating the best experiences and international standards in health professions education, in a way that enhances the forum’s scientific value and deepens its professional impact.
The continuing support of our good government for the education and health sectors has enabled Saudi universities to fulfill their pioneering role in preparing qualified national cadres who contribute to improving the quality of life and advancing healthcare services.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Health Professions Education Forum 2026, organized by the College of Medicine in partnership with the Saudi Society for Medical Education. This scholarly gathering brings together a distinguished group of academics, practitioners, and stakeholders committed to advancing health professions education.
The organization of this forum aligns with the strategies and objectives of Najran University, which aim to enhance the quality of its academic programs, develop its curricula, and adopt the latest educational approaches and technologies. This effort supports the rapidly evolving digital transformation in medical education and support the outcomes of health education and training.
The College has placed particular emphasis on promoting active learning and enhancing academic assessment, alongside leveraging modern technologies to improve learning outcomes and build professional competencies.
We highly value the effective partnership with the Saudi Society for Medical Education and commend its national role in advancing health professions education. The Society’s ongoing contributions to supporting scientific research, building academic competency, and disseminating best practices in health professions education significantly enhance the scientific value of the forum and enrich its outcomes.

This year’s forum holds special significance as it is a direct outcome of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Najran University and the SSME reflecting our shared commitment to excellence in health education.
