The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the leading departments within the College of Engineering at Najran University, playing an active role in preparing highly qualified mechanical engineers capable of meeting the demands of the rapidly evolving labor market.
The department offers a comprehensive academic program that covers the core areas of mechanical engineering, including system design, force analysis, thermal energy, control systems, and manufacturing technologies. The program aims to equip students with advanced analytical and technical skills, while placing strong emphasis on practical training and hands-on applications that enable them to effectively bridge theoretical concepts with real-world industrial practice.
The Mechanical Engineering curriculum consists of 154 credit hours, including 34 credit hours allocated to the engineering track. This curriculum has been carefully designed to provide a solid scientific foundation across multiple aspects of mechanical engineering and to prepare graduates to apply their knowledge and skills in a wide range of industrial and technological sectors.
