Benefits Granted to External Scholarship Students:

 

A student who receives a full external scholarship is entitled to the following benefits:

  1. Access to healthcare services for the student and their family members—if brought to reside with the student—equivalent to those provided to citizens, as arranged by the educational institution if required by regulations.

  2. A two-month stipend as a preparation allowance upon arrival.

  3. A three-month stipend upon graduation to assist with book shipment expenses.

  4. All benefits enjoyed by their peers at the educational institution.

  5. If enrolled in the Arabic Language Institute for Non-Native Speakers, the student will receive financial benefits equivalent to those granted to undergraduate students in theoretical majors.

  6. The educational institution shall provide discounted meals, with the amount paid by the student for each meal determined by the institution's board.

  7. Provision of suitable housing, as well as academic, social, cultural, and training support.

  8. Issuance of travel tickets as stipulated in the university’s financial regulations, provided they have not been granted by another entity. If the student purchases the ticket at their own expense, the university may reimburse them—up to the cost of a ticket issued to fellow students from the same country.


    Social Welfare Services
    Social welfare for scholarship students includes the following programs:

    1- Social Trips – such as Umrah and Hajj journeys, as well as trips to explore different regions of the Kingdom.

    2- Cultural Integration Programs – aimed at integrating scholarship students into the Saudi Arabian social environment. These include organizing group Iftar during Ramadan, attending Eid prayers, and participating in national celebrations.

    3- Financial Support Beyond Monthly Stipends – including opportunities to join the Student Employment Program, which allows students to work in university colleges and departments during their free time. Participants receive an hourly wage.

    4- Access to Financial Aid Programs – such as university-provided loans and emergency financial assistance through the Student Fund. These are offered to students in need or those facing unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.
     


    Cultural Enrichment Programs
    1- Organizing courses and seminars focused on intellectual awareness, promoting moderation, and rejecting extremism, fanaticism, and partisanship.

    2- Emphasizing programs aimed at preparing specialized scholars who are active contributors in their communities across all academic disciplines.

    3- Hosting initiatives that promote scientific and cultural ties with educational institutions, Islamic bodies, and research organizations worldwide, and documenting these efforts in service of humanity.

    4- Highlighting programs that foster loyalty to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and solidarity with other nations.

    5- Offering specialized vocational courses to develop scholarship students’ skills and equip them with additional expertise in areas such as computing, personal development, Arabic calligraphy, and creative hobbies including theater, drawing, design, decoration, and scientific innovations.

    6- Holding various written and oral cultural competitions, such as public speaking, poetry, and theater contests.

    7- Organizing the “Heritage of Nations” Exhibition, where scholarship students showcase their countries' cultures to university members and the local community.

    8- Conducting cultural programs for student welcome events and orientation gatherings.

    9-Offering a variety of sports activities.


     

    Healthcare Services
    1. Conducting medical examinations for newly admitted scholarship students to facilitate the issuance of official residence permits.

    2. Enabling scholarship students to benefit from the services provided by family medicine centers and the university hospital.

    3. Providing free medical care for scholarship students and their families in all government hospitals and health clinics.

    4. Allowing students to access services offered by the Psychological Support Unit at the Student Guidance and Counseling Center.
