Housing Department Tasks - Deanship of Students Affairs
Tasks of the Student Housing Department:
- 
	Overall supervision of all affiliated units, sections, and housing facilities. 
- 
	Establishing internal regulations for the department, defining roles and general job descriptions, and ensuring coordination among its units. 
- 
	Developing and updating policies and regulations related to student housing, including enforcement of disciplinary violations. 
- 
	Communicating with relevant university departments within the scope of the department’s responsibilities. 
- 
	Developing an electronic student housing system that meets user needs. 
- 
	Identifying challenges or obstacles affecting work efficiency and proposing suitable solutions. 
- 
	Submitting periodic reports to the Vice Dean of Student Affairs on operational progress and encountered challenges. 
- 
	Supervising and diversifying student activity programs within housing facilities. 
- 
	Submitting requests and needs related to student housing to the concerned entities. 
- 
	Receiving and assigning accommodation to newly admitted students. 
- 
	Monitoring housing conditions year-round, including furniture, cleanliness, and other matters related to students' well-being. 
- 
	Preparing rooms for student arrivals in coordination with relevant departments. 
- 
	Reassigning students between rooms and housing units based on the policies and criteria set by the Deanship of Student Affairs. 
- 
	Addressing students with special health conditions and taking their needs into account. 
- 
	Handling behavioral violations reported by housing supervisors or other internal units and working toward their resolution. 
- 
	Identifying vacant rooms, inspecting them, following up on maintenance, and preparing them for future use. 
- 
	Posting university-issued instructions and announcements on notice boards in all housing units and student activity centers. 
- 
	Receiving maintenance requests submitted by students and forwarding them to the maintenance department. 
- 
	Issuing ID cards and ensuring internet availability in student housing. 
- 
	Approving regular and emergency leave requests for department staff. 
- 
	Evaluating the performance of directly reporting staff members. 
- 
	Carrying out any additional tasks assigned by the Vice Dean of Student Affairs.
