Tasks
- Determining the department's courses each semester according to the curriculum plan, specifying the sections, and preparing the schedules.
- Preparing the academic schedules and final exam schedules for the department’s courses according to the students' levels, organizing classrooms, and class periods.
- Preparing individual teaching schedules for each faculty member, based on the students' academic levels, and the specified teaching load for each faculty member in consultation with the department head.
- Following up on the assignment of professors to the teaching schedule in coordination with the department head.
- Monitoring the allocation of sections with faculty names through the electronic system.
- Distributing the department's courses offered in other programs within the college and outside it to the faculty members in consultation with the department head.
- Coordinating with other colleges that teach certain courses within the college to ensure those courses are included in the schedule.
- Coordinating with the women's section regarding courses that can be taught to female students by the department's faculty members via the network.
- Preparing and submitting the teaching loads of faculty members in the department to the relevant authorities in the college or university.
- Coordinating the process of utilizing faculty from other colleges who teach the department’s courses and monitoring their attendance.
- Preparing an archive file, both paper and electronic, for the academic schedules to facilitate future reference.
- Ensuring the preparation and receipt of theoretical exams by contacting faculty members a period before the scheduled exam.
- Organizing final exam units, preparing the control room, and providing enough exam proctors.
- Updating the exam forms and regulations.
- Organizing mid-term exams, alternative exams, and make-up exams for each semester.
- Receiving exam papers from other colleges.
- Providing proctors during different time periods for the exams and monitoring the exam progress.
- Reporting any issues during exams (absences, cheating cases) to the department coordinator for further reporting to the department council if necessary.
- Preparing reports on monthly and final exams.
- Any other tasks related to the unit.
