Tasks
- Receive requests for course equivalency from students, which are forwarded by the Dean of the College or the Head of the Department from both within and outside the college, and study these requests.
- During the equivalency process, ensure that the courses studied outside the department align with the department’s course descriptions, or explain the reasons for non-equivalency if there are discrepancies between the course contents.
- Ensure that the department’s academic plan is available on the department’s website, and confirm that it is updated, if necessary, for those who wish to review the plan for equivalency purposes.
- Equate department courses with those from other departments when applicable.
- Prepare a list of department courses and their equivalent courses within the university.
- Start preparing a list of department courses and their equivalent courses from outside the university, which are continually being submitted to the department.
- Ensure that the minutes of the equivalency unit are documented accurately regarding the course equivalency requests for students.
- Any new tasks related to the unit.
