Tasks
- Compile and register data of the scholarship recipients and their contact details.
- Consider the requests for scholarships from teaching assistants and lecturers, verify the validity of the programs they wish to enroll in, ensure they align with the department's scholarship policy, and validate the acceptance documents and other necessary papers.
- Support and encourage outstanding students to apply for reappointment within the department.
- Review the requests for reappointment and conduct interviews with applicants.
- Prepare lists of prestigious domestic and international universities to which students can be sent for scholarships, in coordination with the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
- Receive and respond to proposals or complaints from scholarship recipients, and work on solving the issues they face.
- Create and update a database of research and projects undertaken by scholarship recipients in the department.
- Receive requests from scholarship recipients to extend their scholarships if necessary, and follow up on the requests until they are sent to the Scholarships Office, ensuring the administrative decision or any comments are sent back to the recipient.
- Monitor the status of scholarship recipients, both domestic and international, and provide periodic reports on their academic progress to the department council.
- Establish communication channels between scholarship recipients and the college, and create an emergency hotline for urgent matters.
- Keep a copy of all decisions regarding teaching assistants during their scholarships.
- Create an electronic file for all requests.
- Handle any new tasks related to the unit.
